• ’20 Fantasy Baseball Wrap-Up

The world is quite a different place than it was on October 30, 2019, when the Nationals made the final out in Game 7 of the 2019 World Series. COVID-19 dominated the world news and altered the way people participated in sports on amateur and professional levels. As a Major League Baseball fan, we were…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 7

It only took seven weeks, but BD4 won its first matchup of the season! The road we started down at the beginning was bumpy, which forced us to reevaluate on the fly, and those decisions finally secured us a win.    Our final numbers, overall (20-48-2) and matchup record (1-6), will be the only thing…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 6

Another week. Another beat down. This season feels like the way Bill Murray must have felt when he woke up every day on February 2nd.    It only took three weeks, but BD4 finally won a category in a matchup! After 10-0 and 9-0-1 losses, we found ourselves on the wrong end of a lopsided…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 5

The day was August 22, 2007. The Texas Rangers were visiting the Baltimore Orioles, and the final score resembled a matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens. Week after week, we feel like the Baltimore Orioles of One Less Curse. I’m talking about the Orioles of my generation, long after Cal Ripken, Jr…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 4

In case you missed it, the highlight of the baseball season occurred on August 22, 2020, in Oakland. Since fans are not allowed in stadiums across America, and teams are not allowed in Canada, some franchises have employed stuffed animals to serve as fans. As you can see, T. Bear took a foul ball to…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 3

See you in four to six weeks DJ LeMahieu (sprained thumb). It may sound like a broken record, but the unofficial theme song for the New York Yankees has to be Queen’s smash hit, “Another Bites the Dust.” For the second week in a row, the team lost a superstar, but to make matters worse,…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 2

It may have taken a late rally on the weekend, but after trailing the series for the entire week, BD4 battled the first-place team to a 5-5 tie. The rally kept us out of the last place for the second straight week.  We may have an 8-12 record and sit in the ninth place, but…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Week 1

Fantasy baseball is back! As most of you know, when the final out is recorded in the World Series, I start the countdown to Opening Day. Despite how much I know about the game and the analytics behind it, I never seem to play to win. I talk a big game all winter that winning…

  • ’20 Live Fantasy Baseball Draft

Major League Baseball is finally returning, and with that comes many stressful nights of fantasy baseball.  I have been playing fantasy baseball for almost ten years and still have zero championships to show for it. I’ve gotten invested in fantasy football and hockey over the years, but the one I care the most about is…

  • ’20 Fantasy Baseball Draft

There may not be any Major League Baseball in 2020. As the world recovers from a pandemic, we are left to wonder what could have been. Sports fans like myself are left to watch highlights of classic games or binge-watch all the Netflix programs we put off during the season.  I miss baseball just like…
