’19 NFL Pick’Em Week 12

One good week (10-4) led to another good week (9-5) in week 12 of the pick’em pool.

Despite two strong showings in back to back weeks, we remain dead last in the pool of seven teams.

Once Upon a Time in NE Picks

Thursday Night Football: Indianapolis @ Houston (+1)

Houston had suffered recently, but with a somewhat weak opponent in town, they got the job done.

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta (+1)

Tampa Bay is better at football than the Falcons are. When the birds win, it’s often by surprise.

Denver @ Buffalo (+1)

The 20-3 score kinda sums up the Broncos season. The rebuild is in full swing.

New York Giants @ Chicago (+1)

The Giants showed some life and then faltered. No one would be wise enough to pick them again this season.

Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh (+1)

Hey, a win is a win. Even if it was against the last winless team in the league.

Miami @ Cleveland (-1)

I thought Miami was better than this.

Carolina @ New Orleans (+1)

Carolina’s days as a powerhouse as all but over.

Oakland @ New York Jets (-1)

The Jets got lucky that the Raiders didn’t show up to play.

Seattle @ Philadelphia (+1)

A lot of people don’t peg Seattle as the team to beat. They proved otherwise yet again.

Detroit @ Washington (-1)

The Lions lost to the hapless Redskins. They can’t decide what direction they really want to go to.

Jacksonville @ Tennessee (-1)

I made this pick in advance of the turn around orchestrated by Ryan Tannehill.

Dallas @ New England (+1)

In one of the most boring games of the season. The Patriots beat the Cowboys, who are indeed a mess.

Sunday Night Football: San Francisco @ Green Bay (-1)

A while back, this was a preview of the NFC Championship game. If this is a foreshadowing of things to come, just give the 49ers the trophy already.

Monday Night Football: Baltimore @ Los Angeles Rams (+1)

This is the Raven’s Super Bowl championship to lose.
