’20 Fantasy Football Week 1

Pinstripe Bowl started the 2020 Fantasy football season off with a bang, overcoming their original projections for a 24 point win over Trump Towers. The boys secured the win off the back of Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas), who racked up a team-best 35.90 points.

Yahoo Fantasy handed us an A+ grade for our efforts in Week 1. That’s not too shabby since we overshot our projections by 17.33 points. Trump Towers, meanwhile, failed to live up to their predictions.

The matchup was quiet on Thursday night, with neither team collecting any points. Pinstripe Bowl trailed early on Sunday morning before the afternoon games when we vaulted ahead and never looked back.

Pinstripes scored 0.00 points on Thursday, 130.80 on Sunday and 16.10 on Monday for a 146.90 total. Trump Towers meanwhile went 0.00, 101.40, and 20.90 for 122.20.

Pinstripe Bowl was able to collect a win despite only five of their nine starters scoring more than their projections. No one was over or under by double digits, except Jacobs, who scored 18.09 more points than projected. Odell Beckham, Jr (Cleveland) failed to meet his projections by 9.85 points, the worse in the player in the lineup.

KicknCoffinCorners went 1-13 last season but started this year’s campaign with a bang and had four players in the top 25. Three other teams had three players, while Pinstripe Bowl joined five teams with two players. Only two teams had one player score enough points to be at the top of the league.

As mentioned in the previous paragraph, Kickn got off to a great start, securing the most points of the week, 154.40. We followed in second place with 146.90, while KerryMy Johnson put up 142.72. The other two winners, Cleveland Steamerz and Lamar, the Merrier!, each got over 138 points.

No team failed to reach 100 points in week one.

Just like other times in franchise history, Pinstripe Bowl starts the season off with a win and hang around the top of the league standings. Usually, things fall apart after a few weeks, and we end up looking in from the outside when the playoffs start.
