After Top of the Rock ended a seven-game losing streak in the previous week, the pressure must have gotten to the guys during their Week 13 matchup. No Ice in Ireland got their revenge from a week two defeat and beat us handily 6-1-3. The loss, our eighth in the last nine, has dropped us…

Our prayers have finally been answered. Reloaded and retooled with a team that features the best of the best from the New York City area, Top of the Rock ended a ruthless seven-game losing streak. Week 12 marked the beginning of the second half of the season. This week’s matchup featured a rematch from Week…

During our week 11 matchup, we got pumped again. It is the fourth time during the seven-game losing streak that we have given up seven or eight category wins. The stress of managing a losing team finally got to management who blew the entire project up. MATCHUP AND SCORES For the second straight week, we…

By the tenth week of any season in any sport, you should have a clear understanding of whether you are a contender or a pretender. What started out with a bang has landed with a loud thud. The kind of noise that Wiley E. Coyote makes when he falls from a cliff.  MATCHUP AND SCORES…

I hate to sound like a broken record, but week nine delivered us fifth straight loss. This week, we won the shots on goal, and the…

In week eight of the hockey season, everything that could go wrong went wrong. If you missed the headlines, you might not have heard that Marc-Andre Fleury lost his dad during the matchup and left the team for personal reasons. Since we are not able to adjust our lineup accordingly, his absence cost us dearly.…

Another week. Another defeat. Top of the Rock wanted to make the 2019-20 season one to remember. So far, the team has been entirely polar opposite over seven weeks. Riding a four-game win streak to start the year, The Rock sat in second place, before this week’s third consecutive loss. Three losses in a row…

After starting the season red hot with a four-game winning streak, Top of the Rock dropped it’s second consecutive matchup, 7-1. Money in the Bank has been one of our closest competitors as we jockey for position at the top of the standing.  In week six, they came to play, and we did not, losing…

Everyone loses. This past week was finally our turn. After opening the season with four consecutive matchup victories, we fell to Donkey Kong Country 6-2-2. MATCHUP AND SCORES It was rather odd that our two elite goalies, Marc-Andre Fleury (Las Vegas) and Tuuka Rask (Boston), had off weeks, which showed in our matchup numbers. The…

If anyone told us at the beginning of the season that we would be the second-best team in the league… we wouldn’t have believed you. But four weeks into the 22 week season, here we are in second place. People talk about franchise turn arounds, and if Top of the Rock were real, it would…
